Senior Consultant
At her core, Kellie (she/her) is a creative and aspiring wisdom keeper. Kellie combines her background in teaching, facilitation, and research to design training and learning experiences that invite authentic dialogue, skill building, and casting bold vision for thriving communities. Kellie brings over 20 years’ experience in consulting and capacity building, specializing in leadership development and organizational culture. Her work has crossed several sectors from higher education, juvenile justice, public health, as well as literary and visual arts. Kellie believes that while training is critical, sustainable change is only achieved through individual reflection, accountability, and building connection and solidarity across difference. She draws inspiration from visionaries and scholars like bell hooks, Robin D. G. Kelley, Nikki Giovanni, and of course her grandmothers, Oneida and Tessa.
Kellie’s consulting and coaching philosophy is centered on the belief that healed, realized leaders will build a healed and realized world. Kellie is committed to helping clients tend to their internal operating system to identify and dismantle the roadblocks that silence, scare or derail them from living into their purpose.
Kellie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Washington State University and a Master’s in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Washington. She is a certified coach, facilitator, and racial justice trainer. She has also completed training in Embodied Social Justice and Rockwood’s Art of Leadership.
Kellie is a published poet and visual artist, and was appointed Tacoma’s Poet Laureate from 2017-2019. Outside of C&A, Kellie enjoys museums, perfecting her mac and cheese recipe, and reading under a blanket.
