Why Coaching?
In alignment of our deep respect and commitment to leaders, TREC provides one on one coaching support to leaders at different stages of their careers. We believe coaching raises the critical questions and insights that are key to the long-term growth, impact, and well-being of leaders.
Coaching is also a chance for spacious discussion and exploration of how our lived experiences, identities, training, and education can both limit and enable our ability to successfully navigate teams, organizations, and networks.
Our Approach
TREC co-designs coaching relationships predicated on identifying and dismantling self-limiting beliefs, identifying approaches to navigate interpersonal and organizational challenges, and honoring and cultivating the innate giftings of all leaders, at all levels, no matter what.
Coaching support can be offered as a part of leadership programming, or independently of other services. Coaching is generally conducted through a series of sessions with a set of initial objectives/needs in mind such as building team or organizational culture, navigating boards or partners. TREC coaches work in partnership with leaders to identify an arc of support that align with these needs, providing time and space for exploration, strategy inquiry, and tools to apply and integrate learnings.

In the spirit of transparency and co-designing the coaching relationship and agreements, TREC utilizes a Coaching Guide and Agreement for client partners to review and complete prior to their first coaching session.
TREC provides services to Wilburforce grantees and members of Conservation Lands Foundation (CLF)’s Friends Grassroots Network. For more information on FGN services through TREC, please reach out to your CLF contact. If you are a Wilburforce grantee, please contact Nailah@trec.org to see if coaching may be available for you.
TREC are here for us as humans, […] they care about us as people, and […] they love us. It sounds so simple, but every time they said it, I had a deep emotional response — which tells me how important it is to hear, believe and remember.
