Diana Toledo is the Leadership Development Director at River Network, a nonprofit organization that empowers and unites people and communities to protect and restore their rivers and local waters. In that role, she develops and delivers training and consulting services so that leaders, organizations and coalitions working for freshwater protection are strong, effective and results-oriented. Diana’s experience living in the Dominican Republic in the mid-1990s when the construction of a large-scale dam flooded 13 small, rural communities and displaced countless residents has inspired her work in river conservation and community organizing.  She brings over 20 years’ experience supporting citizens’ efforts to have a seat at the table when decisions are being made that impact their communities’ freshwater resources and quality of life.  Diana lives in Asheville, NC.
