Consultant

Cairá Conner (she/her) has been a TREC Consultant since 2022 focusing on organizational development. Cairá is a Chicago native, a mom, a visual artist, a dancer, a board game enthusiast, and a French fry connoisseur. She is a former community organizer with experience leading a grassroots non-profit, stewarding political education, and youth development programming. After eight years running an organization and navigating youth development spaces, Cairá switched gears and joined the TREC team to provide HR and organizational culture consulting to clients.

As a consultant, she helps TREC clients build their capacity by adopting intentional and sustainable policies, protocols, and management tools to foster belonging within their work culture. Cairá is passionate about challenging leaders to resist replicating the same systems and behaviors we seek to transform within our organizations. Who says we have to run ourselves ragged to make an external impact on the world? Who says we have to neglect our well-being because we are so mission-driven? What would happen if we rejected urgency, slow down, and do the necessary work to make sure our teams are well supported and cared for?

Cairá is a Black woman with long straight dark brown hair. She is wearing a plain white collared shirt with brown buttons with a white background.
