Wishing you a joyful and gentle step into spring

Happy almost Spring!

Here at TREC, the longer, brighter days, along with our first in-person leadership trainings and client interactions since the onset of the pandemic are bringing smiles to our faces.

The TREC team is emerging out of this reflective and challenging time with a slew of new offerings that we are excited to share with you. Our newest colleagues are taking our programs, particularly our commitment to providing top-flight resources that use a holistic approach to integrating diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout all of our work, to a whole new level. It is an honor to do this work, and to do so with the tremendous legacy of the long-tenured TREC staff who have given so much to our clients and our team internally.

Today, we are especially delighted to introduce you to our new Interim Executive Director Ananda Valenzuela (any pronouns) who, if you are a fan of the Nonprofit AF blog, as many of us are, needs no introduction! But we can’t help ourselves, so please take a peek at their bio here. Ananda brings deep experience in leveraging growth and transition to create empowered and strategic organizations, as well as profound work in liberatory leadership and in creating nourishing environments for BIPOC leaders. We are thrilled to have their wisdom and perspective to help guide TREC over the coming months as we continue to evolve our offerings and organizational structure in a way that will best support TREC’s vision.  We remain committed to a vision of supporting an inclusive, impactful movement where all people are welcomed and treated justly, diverse wisdom is recognized as essential, and our relationships to each other, all beings, and our environment is healing and generative.   Ananda Valenzuela, TREC’s Interim ED

Ananda brings to the interim executive director role deep experience and commitment to shared leadership and distributed leadership models. Like many of you, we at TREC have experienced the gifts of co-leadership through the creation of our four-person management team in 2021, which focuses on coordination of client offerings, as well as the daily operations of TREC. The ability to tap into the collective wisdom and skills of our staff has been invaluable to us during this time of transition. We are excited to continue to explore how TREC can integrate shared leadership structures into our own operations in the coming months, alongside Ananda and TREC’s board of directors. We look forward to sharing more on that in the months to come.
In the meantime, please take a moment to check out all of our offerings for this spring which you can find at this link and below.

Wishing you a joyful and gentle step into spring,
