Position: Grants Manager

Position Summary
The Grants Manager is responsible for developing and managing a pipeline of current and prospective grant funders that align with New Mexico Wild’s priorities. Through planned research, identification, development, cultivation, stewardship, and reporting the Manager will submit proposals and manage awards in support of the New Mexico Wild’s mission and operating goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee foundation strategies, relationships, and deadlines.
- Coordinate timely proposals and reports.
- Lead foundation research.
- Manage grant awards and compliance.
- Assist with project budgets.
- Maintain grant files.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is highly organized with non-profit fundraising and grant writing experience and has a passion and familiarity for wildlands and wildlife conservation. Must be able to work well under pressure; capable of managing several projects simultaneously; excellent written and oral communication skills; self motivated with the ability to work with a small team.
This is a full time, exempt position. Compensation is anticipated to be between $45,000 and $55,000, dependent on experience, plus health insurance (base plan is 90% employer paid) as well as dental, vision, long term disability and life insurance policies (100% employer paid), a 403b retirement plan with an employer match of up to 5%, and competitive time off benefits.
