Website Blackfoot Challenge

The Blackfoot Challenge is seeking a full-time Water Steward to coordinate and deliver a variety of partnerships and projects aimed at conserving and enhancing water resources in the Blackfoot River watershed.

The Water Steward will develop an overall vision for how the water program can most effectively respond to climate change, including identifying watershed science needs, developing program ideas that can ensure the sustainability of irrigated agriculture, and designing projects that support long-term ecological drought resilience.

In addition to a background in watershed science, the successful candidate will also have strong communication and coordination skills. The Water Steward will provide services in the Blackfoot watershed and may work from home or at the Blackfoot Challenge offices located in Ovando and Missoula.
