Welcome to our new workshop series designed for anyone who works with volunteers! In this 5-part series we’ll cover all the basics of volunteer engagement including program design, recruitment, management, retention, and leadership development. During each session you’ll get to brush up on the basics, address common challenges, and learn from others working in similar roles.
*This workshop is open to anyone who works with volunteers directly. This workshop a cohort in the sense that we want folks to commit to all the sessions and participants will get to talk/work/learn from other participants
In our third session, we’ll be focusing on how to set your volunteers up to have fun and actually get stuff done! We’ll begin with a review of what types of activities tend to work well for volunteers and which are more challenging. Then we’ll dig into onboarding, training, and tips for how to make your “day of” activities inspiring and effective.
*This program is made possible by the generous support of Wilburforce Foundation and is offered free of charge.
