Description

Knowing and planning for the political landscape ahead is essential for positioning your advocacy strategies to be as successful as possible. In this webinar, Cassidy & Associates will provide a comprehensive analysis of the US federal midterm elections, the impacts on the Lame Duck session, 120th Congress and the final Trump years. With a new Congress seated in January, campaigns may have expanded opportunities to push their policy priorities, deepen continued defensive strategies, conduct oversight investigations, and potentially pass new legislation – or to prepare new legislative proposals as we move toward the 2028 election cycle. Attendees will leave this session with a stronger understanding of the new political lay of the land, how to find legislative and regulatory successes, and how to prepare for the next election cycle.

This webinar will cover

  • A comprehensive analysis of the federal electoral outcomes.
  • The path ahead in 2027-2028 for Congress and the final two years of the Trump Administration.
  • Likely policy threats from the Trump Administration and Congress.
  • Opportunities to navigate upcoming federal policy vehicles to include your priorities.

Participants will learn

  • Ways to include your priorities in upcoming federal policy vehicles.
  • How to begin to influence the 2028 DNC policy platform.
  • How 501c3 organizations can start to plan for 2028 electoral engagement.
