Great Old Broads for Wilderness is a women-led national grassroots organization that engages and inspires activism to preserve and protect wilderness and wild lands.

Position Description:
The Grassroots Leadership (Director) oversees the training, guidance, and support of volunteer Broadband Leaders. (Broadbands are women-led grassroots chapters, with 40+ across the country.) They are responsible for providing researched, high quality, grassroots training and support as they work to protect public lands and the climate through education, advocacy, and stewardship, all embodied in Broads’ brand of fun.

This position will also oversee the coordination and administration of all aspects of the Grassroots Leadership Program (GLP). HOW: By creatively managing the program to support our strategic plan; by updating best practices and grassroots organizing strategies, and supervising staff, and facilitating all program activities.

  • This is a permanent, exempt, full-time position.
  • Reports to the Executive Director.
  • Some weekend/evening hours are required; some travel required.
  • Broads allows for flexible work schedules.
  • This position can be a remote position.
