Hone your storytelling skills with TREC Associate Kristi Chester Vance and Harvard University teaching fellow Dušan Stojičić, who will train participants in the Public Narrative storytelling model created by Marshall Ganz, legendary organizer and Harvard Kennedy School senior lecturer. Ganz’s organizing strategy and storytelling model gained prominence during President Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign—and is held by many as one of the most successful grassroots organizing initiatives in recent memory.
The Public Narrative model focuses on three foundational elements: the story of self, the story of us, and the story of now. Participants will walk away from this session with a foundational understanding of the model, as well as the opportunity to practice it in small groups.
