Presenter: Paul Mohapel
Recent research suggests that mounting workplace distractions are contributing to increased stress, diminished focus, reduced cognitive skills, poorer relationships, and reduced productivity. Practically, this can look and feel like you’re trying to do ten things at once. Such as, overwhelm from the volume of daily emails, trouble concentrating for sustained periods with so many things vying for your attention, or feeling compelled to check social media or the news constantly. For conservation and social justice advocates, the degree and quantity of “bad news” can further increase these workplace distractions.
Our presenter, Dr. Paul Mohapel, is a neuroscientist who researches, teaches, publishes, and speaks internationally on leadership and workplace health, drawing on his knowledge of the brain, psychology, and leadership. This webinar will increase your awareness of the nature and impact of distractions and then focus on strategies for managing them and building a foundation for increased focus, greater well-being, and reduced reactivity.
