TREC Salary and Benefits Survey
Dear conservation colleagues,
Training Resources for the Environmental Community (TREC) is
excited to announce that it is conducting its third Salary
and Benefits Survey for western conservation groups.
And we
need your help – now! Please respond.
This survey focuses exclusively on Western conservation
organizations in the US and Canada and we really need your
organization’s participation. All organizations completing
the survey will receive a free report. Similar reports cost
several hundred dollars. TREC will make the report available
as part of our commitment to strengthening conservation
groups – like yours - throughout Western North America.
The survey deadline is August 1, 2008 This deadline will
allow us to complete our analysis and have it ready in
September in time for the fall budgeting decisions.
The report will provide a detailed breakdown of salary
ranges for different staff positions. We will also identify
variations in these ranges and benefits packages based on
geography and organization size. We’ll investigate some
emergent themes, such as staff longevity and diversity and
the graying of the non-profit employee pool. You’ll find
this information very helpful as you budget for your
organization and set staff salary and benefits.
The survey requires some time to complete (usually about
half an hour). The results for our community are well worth
the investment. We have made the survey as friendly as
possible, and you may complete it in several sessions,
saving your responses safely online.
All data provided in the survey is strictly confidential.
